LiquidSens

Highlights:LiquidSens_Produkte

  • Online measurement system – monitor your processes
  • Robust and long term stable
  • Innovative App-Concept

The innovative sensors of SensAction work with a new technology – the acoustic waveguide LiquidSens. This principle works particularly accurate and error-free.

Assemble your own and individual measuring system out of the subsequent products.

All type of sensors have the same performance and measured variables.

Measured variables

Concentration

Grafik Berechnung

The LiquidSens measuring system uses the measured variables sound velocity, density and temperature to calculate the concentration of mixtures of substances. The liquid mixtures just have to be calibrated once. During this step, the acoustic fingerprint of the liquid is recorded and stored as a Media-App.

These measurements are carried out for you in our own laboratory. You just have to send us some samples.

Also emulsions and suspensions can be analysed. Just ask us!

  • Output of the concentration of your liquid mixtures
  • Integrated temperature compensation:
also constant output of the concentration at different temperatures
  • Simultaneous measurement of up to two concentrations

Concentration range:

0 % bis 100 %

Measuring frequency:

10 Hz

Accuracy:

0.01 % (depends on application)

Temperature

The temperature of the liquid is measured by a probe in the integrated temperature sensor. Because of the position of the sensors and the good heat conduction, fast temperature changes are also detected. The temperature is measured as an extra measurand and is displayed on the controller.

Simultaneously, the temperature measurement is used as input for the calculation of concentration in order to ensure a safe output of concentration – independent on temperature

  • reliable temperature measurement
  • output of the temperature via a separate channel
  • high accuracy by a precise calibration

Measuring range:

0 °C – 100 °C

Measuring frequency:

1 Hz

Accuracy:

0.1 °C

Speed of Sound

Formel cf

The sound velocity of a liquid is a matter constant. It changes when changing the density and / or the compressibility of a substance. The sound velocity is determined highly accurately by the sensors LiquidSens and is therefore suitable for precise material characterization. Even for phase separation and product identification the speed of sound can be used.

  • Fast measurement and output for fast reactions during the process
  • Sturdy and solid long-term measurement
  • High precision accuracy and repeatability

Measuring range:

600 m/s bis 2000 m/s

Measuring frequency:

10 Hz

Accuracy:

0.1 m/s

Density

Formel DichteThe density of the liquid is directly calculated by the speed of sound (c) and the acoustic impedance (Z). Both measurands are determined by the non-contact propagation of the acoustic waves in the waveguide.

  • non-contact measurement of density with no moving parts
  • density determination by the independent measurand “acoustic impedance”
  • compatible with all types of LiquidSens

Measuring range:

0.7 g/cm³ – 1.5 g/cm³

Measuring frequency:

10 Hz

Accuracy:

0.001 g/cm³
